Green Turmeric (Curcuma zedoaria)
Green Turmeric is more of a medicinal turmeric instead of used culinary. a tender perennial plant that is part of the ginger family. They thrive in warm and humid climate. Root can be used as a yellow dye.
Planting:
Plant turmeric rhizomes in spring after frost, about 2 inches deep in well-draining soil. Make sure the soil is rich in organic matter.
Watering:
Turmeric prefers consistently moist soil. Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering when dormant.
Sunlight:
Provide partial to full sunlight. Turmeric plants thrive in warm, tropical conditions but will also tolerate some shade.
Fertilizing:
Fertilize with a balanced, organic fertilizer during the growing season. Enrich with a compost to improve soil fertility.
Temperature:
Turmeric prefers temperatures warm temperatures and is to frost.
Harvesting:
Harvest turmeric rhizomes when the leaves start to turn yellow and dry. Dig up the rhizomes carefully. You can store them when fresh or dry them.

Shipping from our nursery to you:
We ship on Monday & Tuesdays according to climatic conditions to ensure your plants arrive in a timely manner for proper care, without unnecessary time spent in their dark box.
Where we cannot ship to:
At this time we are not able to fulfill orders outside of the U.S. due to agriculture regulations.
We also do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska because of their distance from our nursery and the sensitive nature of the plants we ship.
