West Indian Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a tropical herb known for its citrusy flavor and aromatic leaves. West Indian Lemongrass is a perennial grass and has thicker stems compared to other varieties. Lemongrass can be used in culinary dishes, teas, medicinal use, and for its essential oil. Regular harvesting helps maintain the plant's vigor and encourages new growth.

Long, green, grass leaves with a strong lemon fragrance. Thus the name Lemongrass
Height:
Usually reaches 3 to 6 feet in height, depending on growing conditions.
Stems:
Stems are thick, fibrous, and have a strong lemon scent.
Flowers:
Flower spikes appear in the fall, but lemongrass is primarily grown for its leaves rather than its flowers.
Sunlight:
Lemongrass thrives in full sun. Provide at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
